Acer Aspire ES ES1-512-C4GL 15.6 inch laptop Review

The Acer Aspire ES1-512 is an extremely affordable laptop that has all the required hardware to handle the basic tasks without any lag. The battery life is very impressive, so you will not have to worry about charging it numerous times in a day.

Not many laptops have a optical disc drive and Ethernet port nowadays, but this laptop surely has both of these. With the large 15.6″ display it allows for a pretty decent multitasking experience.

It feels as though Acer tried to fit far too many features into this laptop, which somewhat hampers the performance of the laptop. The design is really simple and fails to stand out in a crowd.

The laptop does not have that much processing power and there are some noticeable lags when running certain applications and games. The battery on this laptop is also non removable, meaning that if there is a problem with the battery you will either have to spend a lot of money to repair it or you will have to replace the entire laptop.

The USB, HDMI and Ethernet ports are located at the back of the laptop which poses a problem when you try to access them, as you will have to close the top part of its display which puts the laptop into sleep mode. The screen also produces a lot of glare, so it would not be advisable to spend long hours with this device if you don’t want to develop eye strain.

Overall this is a solid device with reasonable pricing and battery life, that can handle the basic tasks. Before you purchase this laptop, though you should carefully analyse the benefits and downsides and decide on whether or not you will be able to cope with them.
